There was so much talk about it that I think hardly anyone doubted Ancelotti would end up becoming the Brazil coach. A lot of things fell in place with Real Madrid looking for a new coach, Alonso out of a sudden began to reject journalist questions about his future and he denied to confirm that he will fulfill his contract with Leverkusen. I think at that point it was obvious.

Nevertheless, I think this coach rotation is going to be interesting for everyone. Curious to see how Alonso will be doing with Real Madrid and even more exciting to see how Ancelotti will be doing with Brazil. It is not the powerful team that it once used to be, but for Ancelotti this is still a great moment and probably the last chapter in his career.
Regarding Ancelotti, I agree, in this case it was clearer, because earlier there was an offer from them, but Ancelotti rejected it because he continued his contract with Real, now everything has changed and there were guesses that he would work in the Brazilian national team, although doubts remained, because the Brazilian Football Federation said that the national team should be coached by a Brazilian. With Alonso, everything is more complicated, and the main reason is that he does not have much experience in managing such teams, Perez will demand trophies from him from the first season, and with such Barcelona in La Liga it will be very difficult to achieve, and in the Champions League they will have worthy rivals.
