I always set my stop losses at around $50 but recently, for 2 trades on Bitget, I lost considerably more that my stop loss was set at. Both trades were in ‘USDT-M Futures’ and both were the PI-USDT pair. In one trade I lost $150 and the other I lost $87…
I hate hearing this kind of story, but it is what it is. In a situation like this, two possibilities may occur;
1. There was a natural market slippage: If this is the case, you might have to move on. But be very careful in dealing with the more volatile coins next time.
2. Bybit created a false slippage to cheat: This is rampant with Bybit. I've seen many markets with artificial whipsaws on their platform that were nowhere to be found in other exchanges.
It seems they are stylishly and aggressively recovering their stolen $1.5b from their customers. Too many complaints these days.
