I know the case of at least two people who have effectively gone to Eastern Europe seeking lower taxes, good quality of life and other lifestyle choices. But, and this the but, they are pretty much digital nomads. The have little baggage, can move freely, can do their work at any location as long as there is an internet connection and electrical power.

Under that, then yes, Bulgaria and the like are fine.

Only two to the case? Usually there are at least 12 to the case, and often 24.

Head for Eastern Europe: Ukraine. Zelensky wants all the help he can get. He'd even exempt you from taxes if you would grab a rifle and get out in the field. Lol.

Cool

I personally know two people who are faring very well in Eastern Europe, none of which are in Ukraine. BA Ukraine is not the only country in Eastern Europe - surely this is news for you.

Don't you realize that some extremely large companies from the US have bought up land and political positions in Ukraine? Why go where the money isn't? Head for Ukraine. Grin

Cool

I would suggest you head for Ruzzia. I mean, if you are not already there.

Ukraine will profit from an influx of funds if the peace is achieved in the right terms, but the advantages of living in Eastern Europe are much better in other countries that offer excellent tax breaks or low taxes while having a pacific and orderly society. This is ideal for digital nomads, but not for everyone else.
