There was one that offered $5 test money for gambling and i won with that without depositing. Does that count as a bonus? I can't recall which casino it was but i know it still existed when i last checked year or so ago.

I did need to bet more then that $5 to withdraw it, as part of some AML law or something. I wouldn't have put any money in because to me that sounds immediately like a scam, and more money i have to deposit, more of a scam it sounds.
I was waiting to read the concluding the part of the story. I knew there was going to be a catch at the end for withdrawal. This story is also similar to the one that  stompix shared as well.
After he had won the free deposit bet, he was required to place x10 times that before he could withdrawal a very absurd requirement.

Ten times? No, not absurd, it's normal levels for casinos nowadays.
Absurd is those requiring 50x times, and yeah, I saw some offers like that, they give you 100 spins and if you win you need to wager 50x times the win from those spisn to be abe to withdraw, which to me is beyond stupid, imagine you win $10 and you need to wager $500, what chances do you have?
Want absurd? There is more! They give you $50 in a free bet, you win $20 or $30 and surprise, the first time withdrawal limit is $100.

So, those limits are more along the line than out of the ordinary.

You won't be making money with no deposit bonuses, what's even worse is that they might now give you a deposit bonus after that.
