Mbappe has been among best of the best. He scored 38 goals alone this season, and break a new record. A bit disappointed how he ended with being trophyless (his team run of out luck in la liga). Hopefully, he can do better when his squad will be much better than this time.
Yes, even though this season Mbappe has only just become the main striker, he has managed to score quite a lot of goals. In my opinion, this is quite a positive thing for Mbappe and also Real Madrid. Because in my opinion, Mbappe is just a little bit away from becoming a truly much more reliable striker. Maybe next season Mbappe can play even better. Moreover, when it comes to trophies, we can't blame Mbappe or other players at Real Madrid. Because in essence, Real Madrid's declining performance is indeed caused by all the players at Real Madrid who have not been able to stabilize each line. So this kind of thing doesn't need to be a headache for Real Madrid, because the most important thing in the coming season is that Real Madrid must learn from the mistakes they made this season, so that they don't happen again in the coming season. Because sometimes a team has to feel what defeat is in order to develop even further. The proof is, in the previous season Barcelona had a less than ideal performance. But Barcelona can learn from their mistakes and it is proven that this season Barcelona has a very good performance. If you could recall he even started on a wrong foot if not he would have scored more goals. He didn't start well because he hasn't fully accepted the position of a striker just yet he wanted to play as a winger he is used to but Vinicius can't play as a striker. Some people even went on to criticize him for the way he played that he was going to flop in Real Madrid, so that was why he had a slow start but since when he started playing as a full time striker he has scored more goals just as everyone expected since beginning and I believe this is just the beginning for him and we might see a more clinical Mbappe next season. Still a few matches to play I believe he will still score and add more goals to try and win the highest goal scorer award.
Despite scoring many goals it's unfortunate that he came in at a time that the team was struggling and his goals couldn't win him any trophy yet but i believe the story will be different next season. I believe the new coach coming in will correct every mistake made last season and the players will learn from them.
