This season we finally got to see the dominant Barcelona we've been missing. They won all four matches against Real Madrid and scored 16 goals in those games. I haven't seen such an ineffective Real Madrid in a long time. There was no trace of last year's successful team, despite signing Mbappe. Barca on the other hand marched toward success especially with players from La Masia.
In the Spanish La Liga this season Barcelona are seem to be invisible subjugating Real Madrid to nothing I have never really season in all their rival seasons in the league. Madrid couldn't even get a point in their four clashes this season and that's very much of a poor head-to-head for a club that bought one of the most expensive player in the world. I think Real Madrid would need to buy a natural top 9 (to allow Mbappe play in normal position) and also strengthen their defense too if they want to stand tall against Barcelona next season.
Barcelona have been in great form this season so much that even Real Madrid have been no match for them. Their recent four meetings has seen Barcelona in dominance winning all four games this season including crucial games like the Copa De Rey final and the Spanish Super Cup.
Barcelona started this La Liga season in a good way, but if someone told me that Barcelona and Real Madrid would meet four times this season and Real Madrid wouldn't beat Barcelona in any of the meetings, I wouldn't have agreed because Real Madrid was successful both in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League competition last season. Yes, Barcelona has the upper hand against Real Madrid as far as this season is concerned, and we can see that in the four times they played against each other, Real Madrid failed to secure a win against Barcelona or draw against Barcelona in the four times they met.
Barca are trying their best to finish La Liga the way they started and they are a successful team. Real Madrid most notable problem is their lack of consistency. The most challenging for them has been injuries to players and the inability to use them properly. Real coach Ancelotti has used a variety of tactics among the players and has shown the opposing team to be aggressive but has not prioritized his own defense. The loss to Barca in the last match was an unfortunate one for them. You might have seen that in that match, the attacking players were successful but the defense line failure was clearly evident.
