Following the messages related to a topic about BTC purchases, I noticed that many users were hodlers and had never bought anything in BTC, but perhaps early adopters regret their past purchases? In the case of Laszlo Hanyecz (purchase of two pizzas for 10,000 btc in 2010), he said he had no regrets because it helped raise awareness of Bitcoin and promote its use as a currency.

What about you? Do you regret past purchases?

He have no regrets but deep down he is pained, trust me.

We can speculate but can never know his true feelings.  It is his own so he is the one best suited to express it.  Besides we never know the guy, so how could we say that he is not genuinely expressing his thought?

If you want to promote using Bitcoin as means of payment option you don't have to use 10,000 BTC, there are whales from those times and they held, even if you have a lot you don't have to spend everything, always leave something behind.

Have you not thought of the current situation whe he uses that 10k BTC to purchase something tangible?  During that time BTC is almost worthless.  So having it purchase something is a feat itself.

I don't believe him for anything, because with 5000 BTC today he will be living like a king with his family, so him saying he has no regret is a big fat lie, even a 0.2 BTC been spent in a store is doing the same job as spending 10,000 BTC, now he is talking as if he did the world a favour.

You are thinking today and not the situation when the pizza was purchased. That is kinda out of logic IMHO.  Besides, just like what @Becassine stated, we never knew the person, his character, and the amount of BTC he is holding.

This is a costly lesson that everyone must learn from, when it comes to digital asset they are good for making payment but don't spend all, because they are also good for long term holding, don't be a fool.

Is not, it is an important milestone in Bitcoin history, and you never knew whether it is just a fraction of his BTC, besides, BTC was given away during those times too, like faucets where every drop gives 5 BTC to an individual who claims.  Are you saying that person is a fool too?
