Considering that Ancelotti is the first foreign coach to coach the Brazilian national team, this is a big event. At a minimum, this appointment indicates that Brazil has finally acknowledged the systemic crisis that has been going on for many years. I definitely don't think that Ancelotti will be able to immediately return Brazil to the top 1 (haha) but even just getting rid of corruption cases in the national team he will already strengthen it. I will separately note that on his part this is a bold decision because he will be under great pressure and if the results are slightly worse than excellent he will receive claims from all sides.
