Greed plays a part, but we oversimplify when we just call it that. A lot of it is actually displacement. Emotional avoidance. People aren’t always trying to win more. They’re trying to feel something more. Or escape something they don’t want to feel at all.
There’s this funny paradox: when you're on a winning streak, it’s momentum people seek. And momentum is addictive because it feels like control, even though it’s statistically meaningless. But when someone doesn’t have other reliable sources of meaning, affirmation, or agency in their life? Of course they ride that high. They want more of that feeling: that they can change their fate, that they’re not just passengers in their own life.
Actually, Greed is not only the cause of losses in the gambling it is the cause of every problem in every where for example I can say also the trading where people were also goes by depending on the greed and as well also face the losses.
And if I say about the gambling in this case it is more dangerous. Becuase in trading you can have the little portion of your fund but in the gambling you won't going to have a little penny if your luck doesn't favour to you. And this is why I always try to suggest everyone the same that they should take a pre-plan before the gambling like they can have limit their win and also the losing amount as they can afford to loss. that will bring them on the right track in the gambling.
It can be concluded that gambling also requires good financial management, and must control good emotions. Because the adrenaline of gambling and trading is actually almost the same because both must control greed and have almost the same risk in your future finances.
Gambling without good financial planning will result in losses even when winning the jackpot, if you don't manage your finances well, you will lose again.
