Sometimes, we here can be so much of maximalists with our accumulating bitcoin to the extent that we sound unreasonable. There is nothing wrong with watching charts, afterall, it is still related to bitcoin and we have come to know that we learn more about bitcoin and its related technology as we advance into our accumulation journey. Understanding the charts is not a bad thing as long as you don't start trading your coins. It is yet another knowledge about bitcoin you achieved.

As long as we don't start trading our bitcoin, but continue to accumulate it consistently and with commitment, every other knowledge we can gain about it isn't bad at all and no knowledge is a waste. So why we continue with our regular buys, any knowledge we can get about bitcoin is encouraged by me as long as we don't deviate from investing to trading it.
You make a strong point, and yes, I agree that there’s nothing wrong with expanding your knowledge as you accumulate. Learning to read charts or having broader understanding of Bitcoin's mechanics and how to perfectly align them with your Bitcoin investment can deepen your conviction not weaken it, provided that  it doesn’t tempt you into trading away your stack.
I have the conviction that this recommendation of yours is basically for traders and have little to no business for long term investors , especially those using the DCA method. The reason is that the DCA method does not require looking at the chart for pattern formation or whatever but is more concerned with buying when the time you wat to reaches. Even the buying the dips does not require predicting the direction of the market but requires you to act when the market have already shown the correction which is the dip. To avoid misunderstanding me, having good knowledge of Bitcoin is great but one can already get started with buying Bitcoin and holding .
