It was a memorable season for Yamal. He performed a little better last season. However, this young Barcelona striker has played great since the beginning of this season. More importantly, despite not being able to score, his presence was quite visible throughout the match. This young Barcelona striker is even ahead of Madrid star Vini. Vini has scored 11 goals and 7 assists in 29 matches.
Barcelona's squad is strong. Even then, Hansi FLick will have to try to strengthen the defense a little more. And Barcelona's players will have to be more aware when performing against weak teams. At his 17 year old, Yamal has achieved nearly all big titles a player can win as so far he has gotten Euro trophy with Spanish national team last year, and with Barcelona, he won Copa del Rey and La Liga trophies. This season is nearly perfect for Yamal and he only failed to get Champions League title but his club were not too far from it. By performing outstandingly in this season for Barcelona, Yamal sent a strong signal to many clubs and national teams that he is ready to win Champions League next season with Barcelona and World Cup 2026 with Spanish national team.
At 17-year old, careers of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were worst than Yamal's career now. I used to think that it takes several decades before football might have another player like Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo but Yamal has been making it nearly instantly even when both Messi and Ronaldo have yet retired.
Yamal has strong mentatity, good sense of space, excellent instinct of making proper decisions on field, and great ability of making deadly curving shots like Robben. He truly has a very bright future ahead with both Barcelona and Spain and he can break record of Messi in total won Ballon d'Or very soon.
