They say gambling is just entertainment, and honestly, we can’t deny it, when you think about it, we’re literally paying to be entertained. And the stats don’t lie: most gamblers end up losing in the end.

Your post is not to be missed, Ziskinberg. It is even poetic in some sense.
I totally agree that betting is (or at least should be) considered a hobby, as opposed to a way of living, except for a few fortunate exceptions. An entertainment based on a challenge: the one about winning against all odds. That's what makes it exciting. One bet at a time, of course, not to get burnt.
