The match between Milan and Bologna in the Coppa Italia final is a clear example that no team should be underated, just like the match between Al nasrr and Kawasaki frontale in the AFC champions League elite semifinal, the same way Al nasrr underated their opponent, that's exactly what happened to Milan.
Before the match, Milan fans really thought Bologna would loose to their dear team as usual, but unfortunately, Bologna played with a different strategy entirely. After scoring the first goal at the second half ,they decided to pull back and play a defensive game to secure their only goal from being equalized.
This should serve as a lesson to Milan and other big team entirely.
Good point! Never underestimate your opponent. Milan went into the match confident of beating Bologna again, as the league had ended 3-1 to the Rossoneri.
But Bologna changed strategy in the Italian cup and it worked great.
But frankly I don't like to talk about Milan having the wrong approach to the match, rather one should extol the feat done by Bologna
I have always supported this theory, underestimating an opponent in any field means entering a comfort zone
where mistakes are made that affect the result.
It is precisely on this inverse factor that I place my bets, while all the bookmakers with their odds almost take for granted
the victory of a team, I always play (risking) the opposite, even if it is true that bookmakers make statistics before
publishing the odds, I rely more on the psychological factor and surprise.
A clear example is the next Genoa-Atalanta match
Genoa odds 4.5
Atalanta odds 1.75
Obviously I risk it on the surprise factor, if I guess right I have risked little and I take home the satisfaction!
