After Tony kroos left to retire we thought they were going to replace him with a better midfielder since Luka modric was already ageing fast but we see any of these changes in the team and the outcome was really devastating and I wonder how next season is going be for them.
Losing Kroos in midfield still has a little gap even though there are currently many talented young players in the middle position but in the end the important role as a calm figure in making the ball flow and passing that is directed until now has not been seen for Madrid because indeed Kroos' successor has not been found so that the scheme that occurs for the attack becomes a little more monotonous where now only speed is used as a reference which actually makes sometimes the quality of Madrid's attacks too hasty.
But even so I will still say that their midfield is quite good because what needs to be considered for the new season is still in the defense line. I think by bringing in 2 players quickly because reportedly Dean Huijsen and TAA have done deals for now proves that they already know where their weaknesses are so I think in this case it is very good for Madrid now to start trying to overhaul several other sides if the defense line is considered very suitable for change.
