Well by the same logic, a person with a lot of money is not rich, they are merely a collector. Not sure if this applies to the real world but I do like your optimism. It will definitely bring you further in life.
I do very much agree that gambling is entertainment and should only be seen as such. With that kind of mindset you will be more careful with your money. In contrast to that, the people who think they can become rich or make gambling a steady source of income are fooling themselves into losing more money than they intended. Just purely out of a hopeless dream.
