At the beginning of the season, many believed that Real Madrid would be champions. They didn't trust Barcelona as they were. Many people were wrong about that. Flick has done very well since he arrived.
They said Lewandowski was no longer in his prime, he was old. But he came out and scored goals almost every game. Barca almost let Raphinha go, but Flick trusted him and made him the most important part of the team. Pedri, Ferran, Fermin, they all improved. Yamal plays as if he's been a professional football player for years. They really wrote a great success story this year.
I remember telling people here that football is not played on paper. Everybody wrote Barcelona off and said they wouldn't win any trophies this season. The fact that Madrid had all those players doesn't mean they will win every single trophy, it it wear so, the team with the best players will win all the trophies every season.
Barcelona have a very good academy and they can rely on that. All they need is a good coach and a system to help those boys develop well. They lost their way under the previous administration and made some very bad decisions, but they were able to get back on track.
Next season is still going to be a very good season for Barcelona. The core of their team is year and full of talent. Players like Pedri, Casado, Yamal, Cubarsi, Fermin, Bernal, and Fort are very good players who need trust from the right manager.
As it stands now, Barcelona are 4 signings away from becoming a team that might dominate football.
