I think it depends on how many plots of land one have before thinking of whether to sell and buy or not but aside this I don't think it is advisable to sell land to buy Bitcoin because Bitcoin is not something one can get enough of it at a time, one ought to be accumulating it little by little so how much do you think a plot we give one that he or she will be investing..., the person will definitely use some to settle one or two problem.
Real investors don't sell land to invest in Bitcoin unless selling of land is what they do for a living perhaps a Real investor hustle and get a stable source of income that he or she can be using to buy Bitcoin not to sell a land, I don't think I can sell my land to invest in Bitcoin unless I have more than 5 plots of land and funny enough someone who has more 5 plots of land shouldn't or is not suppose to have a financial problem to the point he will have to sell before investing in Bitcoin.
You seem to be living in a fantasy Showlove01.
Of course real investors may well sell land to buy bitcoin (especially the smart ones.. to the extent that being smart is being real), and any of the investors from years gone by would have had done quite well if they had sold real estate and used that money to buy bitcoin10 years ago....
Maybe their land might have returned them 3x or 4x in the past 10 years, but their bitcoin would have returned them somewhere in the ballpark of 320x to 450x in that same timeline.. depending on if they were able to buy bitcoin towards the bottom of $220 per coin or maybe during the top during that time of $320.
Bitcoin performed around 100x better than real estate over the past 10 years and there is no evidence to suggest bitcoin's investment thesis is weaker now as compared to real estate's investment thesis, even if the price curve is not likely to be as great in the next 10 years as it was in the past 10 years.
I love how you specified that it is the smart investors that can sell real estate to invest in Bitcoin. It is true because looking at the history of both the real estate industry and Bitcoin, it is obvious that Bitcoin appreciates more than real estate, at least for the past 10 years. I doubt there is any part of the world where the value of real estate have grown more than x5 in the past 10 years but Bitcoin have done over x200 for the same window. However, it is only few people that saw the potential in Bitcoin 10 years ago and could only take such measures and will be happy for it today.
We still have the opportunity of that type now especially as Bitcoin have grown to become very popular among governments and big capital, the potential is truly multiplied given its fixed supply and increasing demand by various players. Anyone who take the decision to transition from real estate to Bitcoin, will really look back to now and be proud of that solemn decision.
Of course there can be various other reasons to own some real estate - especially a personal residence for someone who is staying in one area or who has family that also might live in one area, but to suggest that real estate is superior to bitcoin in terms of financial returns is ridiculous.. and yeah, of course, no one knows future performance and they may well might have chosen to invest only 10% in bitcoin and 90% in real estate 10 years ago because they did not know that they could have had made greater allocations to bitcoin. Surely these days more people are aware of the various advantages of bitcoin over real estate, gold, stocks, bonds and other places to put time, energy and money, yet at the same time, no one is even proclaiming that all value should be put into bitcoin, and personally, I tend to suggest that beginners into bitcoin consider 5% to 25% into bitcoin, and of course, they can vary their chosen level of investment and they can also go outside of the bounds of my recommendation and take responsibility for whatever choices that they make in terms of both allocation levels and perhaps how to get there and various other aspects of their cashflow management practices and systems.
