Most gamblers will still continue gambling and could tend to bet more amounts. I've seen some gamblers before where they won the jackpot in a lottery, instead of using the prize wisely like putting on some investments, they used a huge portion of it as a capital in gambling. They think that their luck will continue and betting with larger amounts will bring them more profit.

They go back to their old way of life in the end since they let greed control them during their lucky days.

Agreed, most people not only don't stop but also tend to bet more because they believe they can repeat it and make more money. That is also why I find it hard to believe when someone says they gamble just for fun and don't see it as a place to make money or get rich. If someone truly considers gambling just for fun, after winning, they will not increase their bet in the hope of winning bigger.

Gambling is not just a pastime to kill time and gamblers do not just go there for entertainment, that is why it is never classified along with other forms of entertainment and recognized as a healthy game.
