I think this is a bit of a mistake because after all, even though in the end we make the bet ourselves or we choose the bet, in the end luck determines the result.
We can take an example in betting on soccer or basketball. We are free to choose which club we want to bet on but the outcome of the match and the final result of the bet we make again depends on our luck and the club we bet on because after all the final result in a match can always be unexpected and there are even things that we don't expect to happen.
Although in the end the favorite club that we choose as a bet but in the end when our luck does not come in betting on our favorite club we will still lose so in the end regardless of any gambling including betting, luck will always be a factor that cannot be separated in the gambling that we do in the end.
I don't agree with that yesterday Borussia Dortmund played a very important Bundesliga match against Holstein, and they needed only a win to move into the Champions League zone. I don't believe that luck was the only factor that decided the outcome of this match. Dortmund won because they absolutely needed this victory, and luck had no significance in this bet, because for the visitors this match wasn’t important, while for Dortmund it decided whether they would qualify for the Champions League or not. So there are bets that are determined solely by your analysis and have nothing to do with luck.
