I recently came across the news that Bill Gates plans to give away his entire fortune through his charity foundation over the next 20 years. It got me thinking, why would someone spend the majority of their life accumulating wealth only to give it all away in the end?
Why would someone work hard after earning millions of dollars? Or why is that sometimes someone has millions and billions of dollars but that's not enough for them despite the fact that they can't spend their money in their lifetime? The mentality of these people is very different from an average human, so we will never know what they think, what and why they do.
I'm curious, do they truly give it all away, or is there something more going on behind the scenes?
It's not that all of his fortune is in cash, we don't know what kind of giveaway he plans because most of his fortune is assets and not cash. Btw I wouldn't trust a billionaire and wouldn't build any hopes on them.
