I don't know much about card games because I don't go deep into it but in the case of poker, isn't strategy also important? CMIIW

Although luck is certainly an inseparable thing but it seems that the way luck works in this game is not much different from betting at sportsbooks where strategy, decision making and skills in reading situations are very important in this case.

Luck in gambling is always a determining factor for the results we can achieve but in one condition sometimes there are some gambling that does have to think of a strategy to make the probability bigger and I think Poker is included in it because the conditions are not too different from the sportsbook where we bet with the analysis we do as a probability maker supported by luck for the final result.

Luck isn’t that important in betting either, because you are the one choosing the bet. The main deciding factor in choosing a bet is the player, what they decide to bet on. If someone is a poor analyst and doesn’t understand the sport they’re betting on, then yes, it turns into a game of luck. In poker, everything matters the player’s skill and what they can do with bad cards. You need some luck to get good cards, but in poker, you also have to know how to play when you have a bad hand.

Yes, you may be right that luck is not that important, but most gamblers have a strong belief in what they call luck. Maybe their belief is strengthened because they have seen others who were once poor and suddenly became rich because of gambling. That's why they also think that it will happen to them too.

Just what I learned from gambling is, once you put money in, think that it will be gone immediately, don't think that what you deposited in the casino will double or triple,
rather think about this thing, it's better to just enjoy your gambling.
