it's all depends on the timing, if you bought ATH, then it's a shitcoin.
if you got in before that 50% pump a few days ago for example, then it's not a shitcoin i guess, lol.
It's not just a matter of Ethereum's price. They have a foundation where they make decisions on the future of the project but the changes will never harm them financially. You have Vitalik, the creator, who dumped most of his coins. What kind of message does that send to the community when the people closest to the project dump and cash out? There is the decision to go from PoW to PoS that again incentivized bigger stake holders and will probably be the reason why ETH will never again be as valuable as it once were. So many of their smart contracts are flawed and have been exploited due to bugs or perhaps intentionally made exploitable. Of course there is the drama with the DAO hack from many years ago where they simply wiped and changed the history so they themselves wouldn't lose money in the incident.
i was trying to be sarcastic (unsuccessfully) about the price there, hehehe.
but you learn something new every day as i didn't know about the DAO hack from 2016, i wasn't too deep into crypto back then.
yet another reason to hate on ETH. like, if they did that once (wiping and changing the blockchain), what guarantee they won't do it again? it should even be easier now that ETH moved to PoS which has made it more centralized.

Keeping a half will be too much for me, if I'm in this situation then I will withdraw 75%-90% and continue playing with the rest.
We should be smart when the luck comes and we should not miss the opportunity to take the great profit with just small deposit.
If I have to say, keeping 50% can be still considered as greedy because if we start with $50, logically this amount is our gambling limit maybe max $100 only.
So jumping from $50 to $500 to continue gambling is 10x more than what I used to do, so I will consider it as unrealized greed if I do such a thing.
that would indeed be the smart thing to do. personally, i would cash out 100% of the balance as big wins in gambling don't come often.
if i just take 90% or 80%, i would just end up playing and lossing the rest anyway. so imo, it's better to withdraw everything, and if you feel like playing later, you can just make another deposit. alternatively, you can just vault it.
