I once wanted to use reddit but I didn't understand exactly what it was.

Twitter and Telegram are better places. People may learn that reddit is social media and open an account, but I don't think it's a place that is used very much.

Most users have the same complaints as you and they don't enjoy using Reddit. Moreover, Reddit often deletes posts and gives negative karma. Moreover, we Bangladeshis find it difficult to use Reddit without a VPN. Many features are not open to us, and Reddit is often suspended, although it can never be recovered even if you appeal. There are several other problems that make most users not want to use Reddit. Therefore, Reddit is not as popular as other social media such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok, so it feels different from social media.
