yeah, and just as an example, one of those big hacks was the bitfinex hack (120,000 BTC) and it was around the same year (2016) the ETH DAO hack happened.
if the developers and the bitcoin community back then decided to roll back the blockchain like the ETH foundation did, bitcoin would have never gotten to where it is today.
which honestly gives me more trust in bitcoin and how secure the blockchain is. good or bad, what happens onchain stays onchain.
They can't justify the roll-back in any other way than that they did it to save themselves and the Ethereum Foundation from financial loss. The network worked as it should and processed transactions according to the rules. There was no error on a protocol level that required fixing. It was a badly-configured software and smart contract. This issue lies on the developers of said smart contract.

I think it's fair to assume that game providers keep records of their live games and game shows. But the question is, would they make them available to individual casinos on request!?
