Gambling is for those people who know in detail about the risks of gambling and then participate in gambling. For those who don't know how to take risks, it's not gambling, but gambling with a combination of gains and losses. Only those who have the ability to understand this are gamblers. Again, those who participate in gambling just for the pleasure of it, despite knowing the risks, are essentially the real gamblers.
People say that life is all about taking risks, people are being motivated by this statement forgetting about the consequences of their actions. A gambler is someone that has accepted the outcome of this risks that he is taking. A true gambler that learns from his mistakes becomes more careful when gambling because he knows the implications and downsides that comes with it when things go wrong
Sure, life is about taking risks, there is no doubt about it, without knowing we take risks each time and everyday we decide to get out our homes. But since we are taking about casinos and betting, we need to highlight the difference between necessary risks and unnecessary ones.
Gambling is not something which is necessary for someone to have a fullfiling and normal life, it is entertainment and any responsible adult will first choose being able to have shelter and food before stepping into a casino and try their luck with the money he is not supposed to wager to begin with.
As gamblers, we need to recognize when we are pushing out limits and log out the casino, that is the responsible thing to do.
