tbh this just shows how good superior the premier league is over other league
You guys keep hyping the EPL beyond where they seat makes me feel sick already. They are just privileged to have some good sponsors and a wonderful media hype that's much better than others top European leagues like the La'liga, Serie A, French league1 and Germany bundesliga. Whereas when the top teams in the EPL meets in the UCL with the top teams in these other leagues mentioned above, they're most often than not always humbled. Just a fresh reminder was how PSG from a said "farmers league" side completely eliminated in a grand style the two top EPL teams of this season Liverpool and Arsenal.
It's not a hype that English Premier League is more prestigious than any other League. Let's not judge when big teams from each side meet, the results are unlikely to be predicted. Aside from Premier League having the highest audience, let's look into competitiveness from each league. To compare Premier League and La Liga which i think is second to League rankings, for more than 10 years, teams that end the season top 3 are not any teams other than Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid, this is something hardly witnessed in EPL, any team there can top the table, last season Aston Villa finished top 4 qualifying to play Champions League meanwhile what about the big names.
So if not by the different teams from different leagues meeting at the apex level of competition how else or what are the key yardsticks one can use to express his judge apart from the media hype. And am not judging by this season alone but with every other seasons, most often than not these other leagues clubs has had a better super performance than these EPL teams over there. Mind you am not saying the EPL isn't interesting and great a league to watch but the over-hyping is what disturbs me.
When you say hype that means you are underestimating the Premier League when comparing them with other sides. I know why you say something like this, maybe because of how PSG wiped out all the Premier League sides, including Liverpool (Premier League winner), Aston Villa and Arsenal.
I don't know why you say media hype, but that's a wrong way to judge League comparison, aside from the big 3 in La Liga, i disagree that the rest teams will have a place to compete against any other teams in the Premier League even from the just relegated teams. Premier League is the passion of football, we see incredible goals, aggressiveness, and also not a one man team.
