One of the biggest mistakes I made in life that I wouldn't want anyone to repeat is to believe that all the people you helped when they were in need will stand by you when you also need them. Long story short I had an opportunity to help a couple of people when they were struggling, things got better for them and I had a challenge and I was hoping to get the same help from them since I helped them when they were in need but I was disappointed, abandoned and I regretted ever helping them.
I agree. And, further, at times we give others good help, but they are stupid enough to not want it, or us.
I don't know the right words that would suit them but I guess they were never my friends they just wanted to use me to achieve what they wanted and it worked for them. I learnt a good lesson never to help everyone cause some may never repay your kindness when you need help from them.
I think that shouldn't stop you from helping people.
