<..snip..>
I know this is a pretty general topic, but I want to know, do you have that mindset already? That it’s okay to lose as long as you’re having fun?
I am pretty much the first type of gambler that you described- I gamble because I derive entertainment from such act.
At a young age, I was exposed to the gambling sphere due to the influence of my father growing up. He would go to multiple tournaments of cockfighting which further increased my curiosity about the said act. When I reached the legal age required for gambling, I quickly tried it out and enjoyed every second of my experience. Sure, there were times that I lost money; but I realized that despite the occasional losses and winnings, I just enjoy the overall atmosphere of it.
Or are you the kind of gambler who believes you’ll eventually get so good you’ll beat the odds and actually make a profit? Not like most of us, right?

We all know that by basing it purely on statistics, gamblers are bound to lose due to the presence of house edge. If you view gambling primarily for profit, then expect results that would go against that perspective of earning. Instead, see it as a form of entertainment that gives you the chance of either doubling your winnings or losses in the process.
