About the dollar, yes the trade deficit is inherent to the reserve currency status. You can't have one without the other. Unless going to a non inflationary currency I mean.

The fiscal deficit in the US isn't related though, US governments/politicians are simply spending like drunken sailors while refusing to tax people and corporations an amount covering the spending.

I mean in the middle of discussing his big bill that will cut taxes and increase the deficit, what is Trump announcing ? The resuscitation of Reagan's Star Wars project, for basically an unlimited amount of money because that's what it'll take, are you kidding me ?

Euro people here but still glad about the ATH.

In an hospital bed right now but for good reasons, I'm doing various tests and will start on mounjaro to lose weight. So I'm fit when I retire early.

My tax euros at work.

In US you can get a prescription only if you are obese (BMI>30) or diabetic.
If you want just to drop 20-25 lb to "beautify" yourself (with ozempic or mounjaro), options are limited.
It's possible, but not optimal. Basically, you have to pay a lot: up to $1-1.1k/mo.

Yes I am way above that but not yet diabetic. I'm close enough that I could get ozempic for free however to lose weight it's a higher dose and mounjaro is what I got. About my tax dollars I was talking about the hospital, 4 days and many exams, I'm not paying anything. The drug is very new and not yet paid for by our healthcare system, there is hope it will be next year. As a consequence the price isn't regulated, first time in my life I'm calling pharmacies to price check... Fortunately the pharmacy down the street from home is the cheapest I could find, 240€/month

Good luck...notably, it is almost a miracle drug for most people.
I don't take it yet (would like to, though), but someone I know very well dropped 30 lb (about 14kg) on it (and not even the high dose).
main benefits: the cardio (no gasping for air) and much less stress on the knees.

Thanks. I'm betting on the miracle.
