I'm not really into airdrops anymore because I didn’t have a good experience with them before.

Just curious though, are these airdrops truly free now? Or do they still require some kind of investment to qualify?

I’m only asking because I might be interested in getting back into it if it sounds promising. So please, educate me before I make the same mistake again.
It depends on what type of airdrop you are participating in, if in general it is without capital because usually airdrops only do social media tasks, or if on a testnet then you need to prepare coin faucets on various networks. If you want to dive into the world of airdrops again, as far as I know the airdrop system is now different, for example for this year Kaito where you have to be active on Twitter to continue promoting their projects, create quality threads, be active on the discord channel.

Let me guess that OP seems to be a beginner and started the airdrop because at that time the mini Apps hype. My advice is that you have to be able to improve the quality if you want to be a little more lucky in the airdrop because the more people enter the airdrop, the stricter the filtering process.
