Players are lazy but credit for all the fuck ups goes to only BCB.
Franchise cricket and IPL is nice way to gain experience but the way this board treats NOC issue for its players is embarrassing. They don't say no to them but they don't give green light to their players either. One of the reasons franchises in IPL never go for Bangladeshi players unless it's extremely necessary, they just stopped trusting them and in many ways it's harming the players.
Some of the top players do have issues with the BCB. Shakib is the prime example. And both the sides need to be blamed. There is a lot of nepotism in Bangladesh cricket. For both the players and officials, the loyalty lies with particular clubs that take part in the Dhaka Premier League, because these clubs do have an outsized impact in the administration. The second issue is that both the players and the officials are known to get involved in politics. So there are groups of individuals who are loyal to the Awami League on one side, and BNP loyalists on the other.
I won't blame players much here because we don't have any player's union in this part of world so majority of them are dependent on the cricket board and have to toe the line for survival. Things could have been slightly better if they had some union and it's apply to all subcontinent teams.
Few exception are there but in the end house always win.
