After the halving, many ASIC models will either become unprofitable or give very little profit. And in order for large companies to use all the power for maximum profit, they will turn off thousands of old ASIC models.
And what will happen to these ASICs next?
Will they be sold to other countries or disposed of?
If you want to buy a used ASIC now, don't do it. After halving there will be a big discount on such ASICs on the market.
Take a sec before you grab that ASIC, after the halving, a bunch of used ones are gonna hit the market. People with cheap power will snap some up but others might just get dumped. If I were you, I'd wait a bit for the prices to drop, it's bound to happen!
It's been over a year since the first post. I see that in Russia, mostly the 19 series models are sold. Older models are not popular because they will give little profit on a cheap electricity tariff. Asic pays for itself in about 1-1.5 years, and this time will increase, which means that new models will appear less frequently.
