Over 8 years ago my original account was stolen and back then I tried to recover it so they said just make a new one. Is it possible now to recover my Bitcointalk account that was over 10 years old?

Why would they allow the thief who took me original account to just keep it and I have to just make a new one? I think at the time I was working on a payment gateway it would be nice to have that account back
