You are right about Ripple, it is a really big and dangerous shitcoin.I would not dare to touch it because it is dangerous in various aspects. Its marketing is totally misleading and as a centralized shitcoin an honest team is key, which Ripple isn't because it is operated by dishonest fraudsters.
Not only its marketing actually, because its concept is also misleading, while its price momentum is a scam. It is sad that a lot of crypto enthusiasts failed to do their home work, and focus only on the bullish news about the shitcoin as their investment decision whereas the project was not create to benefit investors, but to benefit the institution, and the team behind the project.

Having said that, I believe we should be more focused on he centralization that will come up in the Bitcoin market through the BTC ETF which will treat Bitcoin as JPEG because some users of this forum seem to also invest in it when we all supposed to do something that will defend Bitcoin decentralization, and stay away from things that makes it increasingly difficult to operate a node.
