I was adamant that Erik Ten Hang wasn't a good coach, but landing Leverkusen job and seeing how terrible his successor Amorim has done in Manchester United made me change my mind. Things are not always as we think.
I believe that Erik Ten Hang will have a better season than Xavi Alonso. It is possible because Barcelona are still good and will continue to trash Real Madrid from next season.
I do not underestimate Xabi Alonso's ability even though Barcelona actually has a good performance this season in La Liga and several other competitions. Xabi Alonso does not only have the existing squad, maybe for him to bring in some other players to strengthen his team. The tight competition between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be presented next season, but I agree that Barcelona will be more established than this season.
Barcelona will also look to bring in a better center forward if Lewandowski is injured. Replacements are needed in several positions, even Lamine Yamal needs to get a rest in some games. Barcelona are still too weak in defense this season and Hansi Flick has the possibility to strengthen his team by bringing in some players. I expect Barcelona to improve their performance next season, while the club needs to bring in some needed players.
