what does traders and investors has to do with HODLing in the long run? your illustration simply looks like merging light and darkness at the same time. as we all know that traders mindset are not wired in a way they will think of hodling for the long run then we should remove them from the picture. although most of them still combine the two together but it will be more appealing to advise investors than the both.
Investors should hold their bitcoins if they are actual investors. Basically investment is for long term and investors must hold their bitcoins for long term growth and achieve good ROIs.
Traders can hold too but they are only able to do this if they only trade with Spot trading type. With Spot trading type, they can let their trading position opens for any long time without any extra cost. If they trade with Margin or Futures trading type, they will have to pay extra cost like funding rate and also their positions might be liquidated.
Traders can hold with Spot by letting that position opens or just cancel it and hold their bitcoin in their accounts. They can withdraw their bitcoins to non custodial wallets, that is recommended, then wait for better opportunity and price to deposit it back to the account and take profit.
With this even unwanted plan, a trader can turn to be a holder and hold bitcoin for a long time but remember this.
