It also may be suggested to create a wallet through Coinbase and such or through the exchanges in question, even though they are not ideal to hodl BTc properly by any means.. It's just that the search engine is inclined to show such options first, and others - second.
Very bad idea. Coinbase wallet is close source and encourage people to backup their see phrase on an online cloud. Also the Coinbase.com should be avoided because it is a custodial wallet. Not your keys not you coins.
I may of been wrong in my phrasing - I agree with your take, but the first thing that would be shown for a person with no knowledge behind would be probably to make a coinbase wallet or a wallet on some exchange - that's what I mean by "it may be suggested" - I needed to write "May be suggested by some search engines"

Thanks for pointing it out.
It is something with search browsers when it comes to more technical related questions, they hardly give the right answers. To be sure try to make better enquires, just for your understanding any centralized wallets shouldn't be used to hold Bitcoin, take a look at some recent hacks in centralized exchanges doesn't make it safe to store your Bitcoin with them.
I understand that lack of early knowledge either as Beginner can affect your choice of holding and ways to go about holding in more secured system, Trust wallet can be preferred, make sure to keep your keys private and wallet offline to avoid online attacks or phishing.
