It’s certain that the longer your hold your investment, the bigger the future profits will be. But hodling and not knowing when is the target price to sell is like you are hodling without a goal. So now, I understand why the German government has decided to sell at that price, most probably that was their goal price, and selling at profits  is always a profitable move.

Yes, they can be in huge profits if they have decided to be patient more and hold more. But I think that was also their best time to sell for profits, and we have no control over that.
