I know it's disappointing after having a good run from the start of the season but everything fallout towards the end of the season and suddenly missed the chance to qualify for the champions league
This isn't the first time, and a few seasons ago, Nottingham experienced the same thing. Fans will not be disappointed with this season's results because Nottingham's performance is inconsistent every season. However, this season should provide an opportunity for the squad to improve their performance and achieve better results next season. However, if you ask me if Nottingham will perform the same next season, I would doubt it. Having a schedule in several competitions makes Nottingham worse.
The underdogs are such that they have not performed consistently throughout the season although at the beginning of the season they were quite good with their performance, they had the opportunity to qualify only for their game to deteriorate and now losing or not qualifying they must accept this reality.
At least Nottingham Forest can still compete in other European tournaments even if it is not the UCL tournament.
If we talk about the Nottingham Forest team, it can be said very clearly that it has lack of consistency because any team that has an overall reputation or people think that it is a good team will play well and the team that does not play well is said to be not that good, it is a weak team and their performance has always been bad. But Nottingham Forest is somehow different team. If we study this team, the performance of this team in every season is different from the previous season. Sometimes they are very good and sometimes very bad. And this is the reason why the performance of this Nottingham Forest team in this entire season has also been inconsistent because the Nottingham Falls team is an unpredictable team. But this season has at least given this team the chance to improve their performance and overcome their weaknesses and present themselves as another good player and a good team.
Nottingham Forest as a team was very good from the beginning of the season, but we all know that towards the end of the season is when the test for sustenance of performance is failed by most team. Obviously, most of the players started suffering from fatigue from the many weeks of play and their performances declined. I was a bit disappointed with them because they hadn't played any external competitions which means that they had lesser stress to contain unlike the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, yet they gave away their third position away and declined performance to the extent that they finished 7th on the table, quite dissapointing.
Chelsea on the other hand took advantage of their lapses and sealed their position in champions league next year, of course we can say that Chelsea were lucky because Nottingham forest clearly dominated the match, and the last minute miss from Chris Wood sealed their fate, but a win is a win and that was all that chelsea needed to end the season well.
