Really a season for the underdogs, the things that happened came as a surprise especially the Harry Kane trophyless era came to an end, so happy for Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Newcastle for getting the trophies they fought for. I believe is hard work that made all these things to be possible if not how can Crystal Palace win against Manchester City in a finals that we all know that City will do anything to win at least to make the fans smile since they have been terrible this season and Newcastle to win against a team that is in form this season and getting the trophy off of them I mean this season's champions of the EPL, Liverpool, incredible or is it Tottenham? We all know how the Europa league finals ended that they did not only won it but they booked a ticket to the champions league. Next season all these teams I mean the bigger boys should be ready for a tougher competition and I wish all these clubs who are playing Europe competition next season good luck and I expect more surprises next season.
Tottenham Hotspur won UEFA Europa League title and ended 17 years without trophy, it's a good achievement for their club. However, their general performances in this season are very bad and alarming enough for their next season. Europa League trophy is a big one, it's undeniable but a title does not change their general performances in this season, which are also undeniable bad.
This title was won in a way that won't promise a bright future for Tottenham Hotspur as it is opposite in case a club is rising and winning a big title. Tottenham Hotspur can enjoy this big trophy but must aware of huge of works they have to improve in the summer. If they are not carefullly prepare for a new season, it might become an even worse season than this season for them.
You are correct, their performance this season was poor but come to think of it, their performance in the EPL was terrible but it can not be compared to that of Europa league, they did well more than Manchester United in the EL. The way I see it between the two finalists (Tottenham & Man UTD) I'd say Spurs deserve to be in the final than ITD, because the Red Devils managed to get to the finals with luck, they were lucky and for Spurs they played like a teams that was meant for that trophy.
I believe that the manager Ange Postecoglu will try his best to strengthen the team because the competition ahead is not going to be easy, now all eyes are on them and they need to show the fans something different next season. If they have to improve the squad which we all know they would, the major position to focus on should be the attacking position, a little bit of the midfield then more of the defense, why is because most of the games they lost we need to blame their weak midfield and chance wasted and Son is not as solid as he used to be, he needs someone like Harry Kane to boost his morela and that of Solanki.
