That's actually the reason why he was traded. Inconsistency. The Knicks truly won that trade, and it's showing now. KAT is helping the Knicks to win the series while Randle is on and off. Although the Knicks lost twice against the Pacers, KAT's stats are up, and he has been phenomenal on the offensive end.
Without McDaniels and Alexander-Walker, the Timberwolves would've lost in a blowout. Neither Anthony Edwards nor Randle is playing good offensively.

I think he was traded because he didn't blend well with the type of play with Jalen Brunson and then he is also injury prone. Although he had good games in this playoff that he excel. But I don't know why he was absent in this series against the OKC though. He was tough but here, he was very soft and can't even get his fire going on. Something is wrong with the Wolves here and it was exposed by the Thunder.

Yes that's one of the reason then also they add up his injury concerns and contract extension issues that's why Knicks decide to trade him. Its somehow good decision that they made that since KAT is really more good catch for their team.

Although they have an issue towards KAT defense but maybe they or KAT could do something to improve it. Now that Wolves is in big trouble it seems that their chance to have a great comeback became more lower.

Maybe next game OKC will finish the game and will prepare for next round.
