Why has burnout become normal, not minding the fact that it is probably a widespread problem.

If you take a survey of people who want to leave their 5-7 jobs and live free life, I guess many people will choose to resign from their jobs. But the problem is that we have to survive and working hard is the only option for many. If you fail to put in more effort you might end up in debt or poverty. I know that there are people who work hard because they want to live a life of luxury but the majority of people are working just to survive.

However,  we can escape this rat race that is threatening our wellbeing by getting a high paying job that has less working hours, starting personal businesses, or investing in profitable assets. Choosing to live modestly would also help in cutting the cost of living which could help to increase our savings and investment.

Let.me add that no matter how hard the economy is we have to make out time to rest. The rich make time to rest and enjoy themselves.  They go on vacation and spend quality time with their family.  Let's take time and rest because it is more important than money.
