Most of the time we regret buying something when we see the price drop. Then we don't have any more dollars to buy. But if we divide our total dollars into three or four parts and buy slowly at each down, then the chances of profit are high. And if we get profit after buying first, then we will sell. For this reason, I think it is better to invest little by little instead of investing all the dollars at once. What is your opinion?
That's a good point, initially using smaller is a good choice and sometimes it just seem like the growth is slow paced and its okay to buy as at when we notice a price drop so we won't be in loses. But what I think is we should hold on to saving the bigger parts and invest with a small portion bits by bits rather than investing the whole proceeds that might not yield profits, im not saying it won't but it's best to stick to the principle of starting small while aiming for the bigger budget.
This is basically what DCA is, if you end up buying then you end up doing better. That way, you put your money into smaller pieces, and that way you end up buying not all at once, but part by part. It works if the price goes down, because that way you would DCA and get better results.
But, it is terrible if it goes up, because after your first purchase, if it goes up then you will have to keep buying and the purchasing average will go up too, and you will wish you put all your money at once on your first try. So this method only works if you believe the price will go down, and you want to protect your back end. Most people do it because they believe it may go down and they want to be more safe than sorry for when they buy bitcoin.
