Another problem is that we do not have unlimited data in Nigeria. The only unlimited data in Nigeria is Starlink but it requires ₦590000 to buy the kit while the standard (lowest) subscription is ₦57000 per month.
The cheapest subscription in Nigeria is to go for yearly plan and not *121# which can double the data for you for monthly subscription but still costly than yearly subscription. Annual subscription is still cheaper. Also the *121# offer is removed at anytime by MTN which makes it not reliable.
I think the airtel 5g router unlimited bundle is another good option if airtel have a stable network in your area, while it is somehow expensive for task like this it is cheaper because your data is calculated in bandwidth and so doesn't really matter the number of gb you use a month it has a fixed pay for it. I'm planning on getting this for it but like I said it is still expensive but a better option for us.
As at 2 years ago, you will need like 380 gigabyte to download the full bitcoin blockchain. I guess it will be more than 400 gigabyte by now. Also after you finish downloading it, you will still need data to receive information from other nodes and also data needed to route the information to other nodes which will consume significant amount of data in gigabyte daily.
Base on the last information I read from the technical board, I think it's over 500gb now for syncing to the current date.
Maybe you will be the first Nigeria that will be seen here -->
https://bitnodes.io/. Or maybe you are going to use Tor.
With your statement here can we say that there are currently no bitcoin miners in Nigeria except they are using Tor?
