It’s true, Wolves thought they can use Gobert as replacement to KAT then acquire more good core team to capitalize on KAT value.
As we can see, it’s pretty clear now that Gobert isn’t making a big impact for the team, while Randle’s contribution is also limited. So maybe next season, they’ll have to make some adjustments, possibly trading either Randle or Gobert, if they can.
For now, their chances of coming back in the series are looking slim, unless Ant goes full beast mode in every game moving forward.
They need to assess what happened after trading KAT, though they manage to reached WCF again but seems that they'll be lacking of luck once more as they are one more game away losing the West finals, let see if they can push another win and extend the series or take that early rest.
There are still games for both series and all the teams are still capable to bounce back if they can continue doing good system to win the game. On the ECF side NYK needs to win another game on the road to tie and not to give Pacers decent lead it will be more harder to win the series they'll be down 3-1 like the Wolves.
