I don't know but it really seems this is a season for the underdogs. Some few break throughs were achieved by some teams that we thought wouldn't have. Newcastle surprised us by beating Liverpool to win the Carling cup, Bologna shocked AC Milan and defeated them in the Coppa Italia final. Harry Kane ended his 16 years without a trophy to finally win one and add his name among trophy winners. Crystal Palace against all odds beat Manchester City to lift their first ever major trophy, Son finally lifted his first ever trophy with Tottenham after so many years of waiting. Season of the underdogs, well expect Bayern Munich, lol.
You are absolutely right, but despite everything it is not bad, I like that, in the PL there were many surprises for a moment I thought that the one who qualified for the UCL was Aston Villa, and who ended up getting in were Newcastle and Chelsea, on the other hand Barcelona had a drought of winning something, although to be honest I think that the League was very partial with them, I hope that changes this new season, because the referees have had many Clashes and problems, and that also takes away a bit of the emotion of good football.
Finally, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest failed to get in top five for joining Champions League. Surely it is disappointed ending with them but they must forget about it and focus on a summer training after holidays, for preparing as best as they can for a next season. They have enough quality to compete for top four or top five next season and can do better than what they did in this season.
Both Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa deserved what they got, because they gave up on the UCL qualification race on the last minutes when they were almost there. Forest couldn't win their last match when they know that was the only chance that they have to win Chelsea and qualify. Villa's goalkeeper messed everything up for them due to the red card he got and gave the match to United.
