Looking back at 2022-2023 Serie A season it showed Inter Milan really focused on winning  Champions League which made sense as league title was slipping away. They likely wanted to keep their key players healthy for final even though they did not win it at end reaching final was big deal. Napoli truly deserved their Serie A win playing great all season. There was some confusion about rumors of Conte leaving after winning Serie A but Luciano Spalletti was actually Napoli coach when they won. Results involving Lazio were quite wild those late goals against Inter really affected title race and it was surprising that Lazio could not beat Lecce which cost them spot in Europe.
You made a mistake, it's actually 2024/25 season and not 2022/23 season as you earlier stated. Yeah, Inter Milan gave too much priority to the Champions league and they suffered unavoidable defeats in their domestic Cup game and league games at some point. With all the things that has happened to them in those domestic competitions and them not winning any of it, it will be a relief for them to win the UCL if not it's really gonna be a bad blow to the team and fans in general. As for Lazio, I like it that they didn't make any European competition for last season, it's their payment for not winning against Lecce.
Lazio, who are first in the UEL rankings this year, will not be in any European cups next year, this is really interesting news. I was wondering what they would do in the European league next year, but after losing the last match against Lecce in an interesting way, they will have to compete only in Italy next year. Juventus, on the other hand, is happy to go to the UCL again after changing the coach.
