This market cycle is strange as Ethereum is very underperform so far and it has been no longer lead altcoin ecosystem. Let me emphasize, at least so far Ethereum does not show its leadership in altcoin ecosystem during this market cycle but it might be changed in coming months of 2025.

In my opinion, Solana and meme tokens already finished their roles in this cycle, and perhaps it will be a turn of Ethereum and ERC20 ecosystem in remaining months of this bull run.
