Xabi Alonso + Leverkusen =  Smiley
Ten Hag + Leverkusen =  Cry

I'm sure I'm not the only one doubting Ten Hag. We can realistically look at Ten Hag's time with Man United with some professional players and it ended badly. Meanwhile, Leverkusen don't have top players like Man United who can put pressure on Ten Hag. I find it strange why Leverkusen's management chose Ten Hag as Alonso's replacement. There are many coaches who are more modern than Ten Hag.

Same thoughts. Plus, when Xabi came to Bayer, the situation was completely different, now Xabi has set new standards and it is a big question whether Ten Hag will be able to live up to them. Ten Hag had literally half a year of progress at United where he spent a ton of money and got whoever he wanted, but in the end he completely destroyed the team. At Bayer he certainly won't have the opportunity to spend as much as he did at United... I wonder what his plan is?
There are still many people doubting him but we never know how his plans are --- maybe after the league starts we will know Ten Hag's plans, so far the players that Ten Hag wants to invite? Is he satisfied when the manager gives him a little money to buy players?
Leverkusen now seem to be building from the ground up as they have sold their top players, but they will definitely make a big profit, it's just doubtful how Ten Hag will choose players as most of them fail.
Ten Hag bought less valued players very expensively in United which has put them to the financial situation that they are facing now. Therefore, I don't think that Ten Hag is a manager that can manage little amount of money to buy players. He doesn't even have good taste for quality players because he is an average coach. I feel that Leverkusen is bigger than him and will fail again. Leverkusen needs a coach that will strengthen the team in order for them to win the title and not the opposite.
