Bitcoin has achieved for many people to own it, do transactions every day and appreciate it as a store of value, like it is known from Gold currently. Bitcoin is getting more and more accepted as a reliable store of value and it’s very important for Bitcoin to be in a good position to be an attractive store of value.
Many points are in favor of Bitcoin to be a good and reliable store of value even right now and it will get better over time anyways.
Just imagine when Bitcoin is 150 years old, where its price will be and how many people will possess any Bitcoin.
We are still very early!
Well, that's why Bitcoin has been called as "Digital Gold" because of how many sees Bitcoin as a store of value. Some might say that Bitcoin must be used based on what's been written in the whitepaper. Bitcoin must be used as a currency where we can use it to buy things. Well, we can still use it, but majority of Bitcoin holders are storing it and treating it like an asset because they believe that if they will hold those Bitcoins, they will make more money as it appreciates hence, holding it instead of spending it.
I can't imagine what Bitcoin would be 150 years from now. Yes, Bitcoin is on the adoption stage still, but the reality is, we don't even know if Bitcoin will still exists after 150 years. With how the technology is evolving on a rapid pace, we might see a new cryptocurrency that's far better than Bitcoin in the future. We don't know the future, and heck, we don't even know that Bitcoin will grow like this in just a small amount of time.
Well, compared to other asset classes out there, we really are still early.
Bitcoin has been bullish considering from the time of invention but imagining where it can be in the next 150 years is what I can not relate and I dive in with your sentiment about no one knowing what the future can be without any validation of certainty even while we can be pretty much positive about what Bitcoin has to offer that doesn't change the fact that no one can be sure about the future, it will make more sense if we can actually make certain realistic assumptions or imagination because Bitcoin in 150 years shouldn't be what we should be kicking our head out because it is quite a long period of time.
